IDEAS TO PONDER OVER

Dear Batchmates/Friends,

As you are aware, some of us are meeting very soon at Banaras from 16th to 18th March, 2012. It is like a 'Dream Comes True'. Thanks to our batchmate who first conceived the idea and much more thanks to the organizing team who implemented it. We all will be remembering them for a long time for this wonderful proposed re-union.
In this year of 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahamana Malaviya Ji, one idea is coming to my mind again & again. Why should we not think of building a university in the name of Mahamana. The full name can be :
"MAHAMANA MADAN MOHAN MALAVIYA UNIVERSITY FOR HIGHER EDUCATION FOR WOMEN" as Malaviya Ji was very thoughtful about Women Education. Minimum 50 acres of land is required to open an university for which I am trying in Rajasthan.
Besides, as you might be aware, Mahamana Malaviya Mission (MMM) is also doing good work in education field & also in other social areas in the country. In Rajasthan also, mission activities are gradually increasing. We organized a seminar on 'Higher Education' in Feb. 2011. Which was attended by National President Shri Bhishm Narain Singh and General Secretary Shri H.S. Singh besides former Chief Justice & Governor of Rajasthan Shri Anshuman Singh. About 250 peoples attended it and it was a great success. It was widely covered by local press & ETV. We have adopted, schools of 'Poor Children' and of 'Blind Children' and doing whatever we can do for their education.
I want that now all of us should jump in some kind of philanthropic work in the areas where we live. Each one of us should either adopt a school of poor children or a village and should try to improve the conditions there. I assure you that if you take a lead in such work there will be lot of people to follow you and there will be no dearth of money.
Actually, our people want a leader. A true leader who can motivate the country towards progress. Who can ensure that all the 121 crore people in our country can have two meals per day and no one sleeps hungry.
If we people (BHU Students) start thinking in this direction and start philanthropic work in the field of education & village adoption, others will follow & support us and things will start moving in the right direction. This can be a way to pay our debt towards our 'ALMA MATER'.
We can not believe our politicians that they will do something to improve the situation in the country. In 64 years after independence, they have practically ruined the country. The country can not wait now.
Let us awake. Let BHU students take the lead and start following teachings & philosophy of Malaviya Ji in true spirit and then see the results. Let us decide that we will spend rest of our life in following Malaviya Ji & doing something for the down trodden people and for our mother land specially in the field of educations.
Here, I would like to quote a paragraph from Bill Clinton's (former U.S. President) book "GIVING".
"I wrote this book to encourage you to give whatever you can, because everyone can give something - regardless of income, available time, age, skills - can do something useful for others and in the process, strengthen the fabric of our shared humanity. There is so much to be done down the street and around the world. It is never too late or too early to start. Everyone can be great because everyone can serve."
If we people (BHU students) take a 'Shubh Sankalp" at the occasion of this reunion and try to implement it wherever we are, I think it will be a true tribute to our ALMA MATER & the GREAT VISIONARY & EDUCATIONIST MALAVIYA JI.
These are some of my ideas. I thought, I should share these with you.
See you soon at Banaras.

Thanks & regards,
